In one of the city photography galleries the proprietor
had a show case in which he exhibited pictures which the sitters failed to call for, he labeled it,
"Shades Of The Departed."
I was wondering what the subject would be for this issue! Very interesting to me, since here in New Hampshire things are gearing up for the next presidential primary. The whole world saw the gaffe one of the first candidates made last week when she confused "Our Concord" with another famous Concord. I saw a great display at the NH Historical Society Museum of old primary photos, and you would have loved it, fM. Do you remember Clinton as the "Come Back Kid" or Lamar Alexander with his red plaid shirts? When Ed Muskie cried and then no one voted for him? How times have changed!
Wow, what a fantastic way to share history. And you do this for free? What a lot of work you have put into this very nicely laid out magazine. I just signed up for Internet Genealogy Magazine via email and I wish now it would come in this format. Wow! That would be awesome. Thanks for sharing! (sorry lots of Wows - but I am truly wowed!)
Another wonderful edition of Shades of the Departed. Thank you, thank you! I have to admit I feel a twinge of jealousy for those so fortunate to have a large photo archive of their ancestors. I certainly do treasure my small cache of images.
I've been traveling the last few days, so what a joy to come home to the latest issue of Shades! I know I say this every issue, but it is true--it just keeps getting better!
