The Holy Grail

To those of you who have religiously followed my collecting of women wearing glasses, you know that the Holy Grail of my search has been a photograph of nuns wearing glasses. (All puns intended.)

Well, the moment has arrived and I wanted to share it with you. I have found nuns wearing glasses. Aren't they beautiful?

There is a tremendous amount of research to do. The habits, what order, the crosses, what's on the table, etc., but I could not wait to share my find with you!

Sheri Love - How are you?

You are one of the people who know what this means to me. Now from Little Orphan Annie to Nuns in glasses, I've just about covered the spectrum!

Yes, I feel a book coming on! Yahoo!

In no small measure thanks to you my friend.

As a good Lutheran girl, I'm going to have to ask my Catholic friends for help. Love their habits.

This is indeed wonderful, the Trifecta however would be nuns with guns with glasses. I think Sheri would agree with me on this.

I'm ok, just getting used to different and trying to catch up. It's the 'catch up' part that's hard. LOL

I am waiting for that book! You better tell me the day it is available.

I keep my eyes open all the time! There must be something left?

Still need to check what's on the table! Is that a shaker I spy in the shape of a saint?

I truly understand - life!

You will be the first to know about the book!

And, I've found something else interesting and will be posting after Jamboree. Adding it to the weird, strange, and unusual.

Maybe nuns with buns would be easier to find than ones with guns? Hot cross buns come to mind... :)

Nuns with buns, yes Carol, probably far easier.

Can't tell if you learned that this is a picture of two members of the Sisters of Charity, Grey Nuns, of Montreal. Founded by Marguerite D'Youville, they have a province headquarters in Lexington Massachusetts. If you want to know more, let me know.
